I’ve been a fan of The Manchester Review for a long time and not just because of the amazing work they publish. I’m a Manchester University alumnus and there’s a little piece of my heart lodged in a crack on the footpath somewhere off Oxford Road, most likely down the end of Whitworth Street West. I’ll write about it one day. This piece is a CNF about another city I fell for, Havana, and my adventures there in the 90s with my best buddy from Manchester. It’s called You are Safe Here.
